Kagan structures

In January 2010 we participated in a workshop called «Aprendizaje Cooperativo de Kagan», where we learned about cooperative learning and Kagan structures developed by Dr. Spencer Kagan.

For the last year and a half we have been using some of these structures in the classroom to improve students motivation, participation (everybody gets to speak simultaneously ) , self-steem and creativity, as well as increase group cohesion.

A few days ago we used our version (preschool version)  of one of those structures , Rally Robin, to get students to practice the new vocabulary words learned by taking turns and asking their partner to point to certain objects on the finger phonics books.
